A severed hand floats in a pond in Central Park. Whose was this? How did it get there? From the start, this is a murder case with more questions than answers. Detective Rem Macy (Tom Berenger) is the veteran police officer in charge of the investigation and he must deal with the dangerous underworld of Chinatown and influential people of City Hall. The victim's roommate fears for her life and asks if she can stay at Rem's house. He lets her into his apartment first, but then into his heart, and he shouldn't have. Now she has him where she wants him and no one can stop her.
