Transcendence plot

Jeremiah wakes up in a river with only a 9mm pistol and a Bible. He suffers from amnesia. With the help of a suicidal psychologist, he goes in search of his lost identity. After finding some cryptic clues given by Jerrett, he begins to believe he was a murderer. Realizing this, he decides to stop finding his true identity and build a completely new one. He does this by joining a religious group along with his strange new friend Matthew.
