The Stoneman Murders plot
Detective Sanjay Shellar, held responsible, is fired after the sudden death of a suspect in custody. Shortly after, the police stumble upon the fresh corpse of a drifter, treat it as a random murder, and close the case. But then more murdered bums are found and the case is reopened, as it is concluded that it must be the work of a serial killer. Sanjay approaches his former chief Satam and begs him to investigate, but to no avail. He advises him to do his own research and if he is successful, he will try to help him back into his position. Sanjay starts off enthusiastically, but then becomes a suspect in the case himself...
