""Beware, Spider! I Have You Marked For Death with The Most Fiendish Weapons Ever Concieved By The Human Brain!""

'The Octopus' is a masked master criminal and leader of the underworld. He paralyzes the United States with a wave of terror. He started with controlling transportation and then moved his activities to industry. The Octopus demands recognition and tribute from the railroad magnates and other influential industrialists. Richard Wentworth is an amateur criminologist who has a good rapport with the police. Richard postpones his wedding to Nita Van Sloan because he first wants to battle The Octopus and his henchmen incognito as the masked 'The Spider'.
