The Love Letter plot

Mary Ann McKee works in an overalls factory. As a joke, she puts a love letter in a pair of overalls, which are eventually bought by Bill Carter, a country blacksmith. His friends send Mary Ann a letter, claiming that Carter is a millionaire looking for a bride, and sign his name. But Mary Ann is in a relationship with Red Mike, a villain, and he finds nothing funny about the situation.
