Attorneys Andrew McGrath and Angie Lawrence have spent most of their lives searching for the key to their past and future. Without knowing it, each of them has the piece of the puzzle the other is looking for. Through the words of a young girl, written in a diary from more than 150 years ago, which was found by chance, both Angie and Andrew embark on the journey to unravel their histories. The last thing they expected to discover was mystery and murder. Neither expected the cruelty they would encounter or the love that would result. They soon realize that they must overcome the past if they are to have any hope of a future together.
