Sham plot

In 2003, elementary school teacher Seiichi is accused by Ritsuko of physically abusing her son Takuto as corporal punishment. Reporter Michihiko gets wind of the case and reports it using Seiichi's real name in the article. The news story shakes the country up and Seiichi becomes a target of the media, ruining his life. Meanwhile, Ritsuko receives a lot of legal support and the situation develops into an unprecedented civil lawsuit.
