Danny Brady, a mechanic, is head over heels in love with Vera, a waitress. When he asks her out and she agrees, he takes money from the drawer of the till, intending to put the money back later when he gets his pay. However, if one starts drawing up the cash a few days too early, he has to work himself even deeper into debt to make up for the deficit.
