"The kiss of death - where the underworld become the judges and a hoodlum winds up dead!"
Charles Arthur 'Pretty Boy' Floyd tries to shake off his troubled past and start a new and honest life, but he keeps losing his job when his past comes out. When he returns to his family home in Oklahoma unemployed, he learns that his father has been murdered and that Blackie Faulkner, the local sheriff, is letting the killer go in self-defense. Pretty Boy Floyd, however, wants revenge and he also picks up his old life full of bank robberies and prostitutes.
