Paradise Next plot
The gruff Shima and the rambunctious Makino reside in Taiwan. They both left Japan at different times after beating it up with their yakuza bosses. They don't speak the language and their shared exile brings them closer together. In a bar they meet Xiao En who speaks both languages. The three grow closer, but the exiles can't shake the past.
