"INTRIGUE that could TRIGGER the 3rd World War!"
In London, Dr. Fenton is kidnapped on the street and taken to an undisclosed location. Once there, Fenton is offered 500 British pounds if he wants to operate on a seriously ill man. He protests, but changes his mind when a loaded gun is pressed into his face. Fenton saves the man's life and is then handed an envelope with the promised 500 British pounds and a large bottle of whiskey. The whiskey turns out to be drugged and Fenton is dumped on a bench somewhere in the city, where he wakes up about an hour later. Fenton finds that he is being followed and he goes to the police. The police then call in the Secret Service, MI-6. MI-6 suspects the Communists are kidnapping important British scientists to take them to the Eastern Bloc.
