Nothing So Strange plot

It is December 2, 1999 and Bill Gates is silenced by several gunshots during a speech in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. The culprit is one Alek Hidell, who wanted to provoke a new class struggle with his cowardly act. At least that's the official version of events. A small group of troubled Americans, called Citizens For Thruth, suspect very different motives and fight to uncover the truth. A noble pursuit, but they don't handle it very well.
