"Life on the Edge"

The naive Bhaskar Sarnaik comes from afar to Bombay in search of his missing brother, Raghuvir. He comes into contact with Inspector Gokhale, who takes pity on him and offers him not only help, but also a job in a restaurant. He finds his brother, just not in the place where he had hoped to find him, namely in the morgue. However, he decides not to tell his mother for fear that this will break her heart. He continues to live in Bombay and undergoes training as a police officer here. After a while, he even works very closely with Gokhale. When he is injured in an incident, his mother comes to visit and she wants him to marry Aditi, which he does. When the police have to hunt down the legendary hit man, Adi, Bhaskar comes face to face with the man. He doesn't shoot him, with the result that he escapes. But then Adi gives a television interview in which he claims to be a childhood friend of Bhaskar, and that's why he didn't shoot him. This turns out badly for Bhaskar.
