Fumô Chitai plot
During WWII, Iki Tadashi was a staff officer at the headquarters of the Imperial Japanese Army. After the war, he was captured by the Soviets and sentenced to 11 years of hard labor in a concentration camp in Siberia. After his return to Japan, he refuses an invitation to return to the army and is thus unemployed. Meanwhile, Daimon Ichizo, the president of the Kinki Corporation, searches for someone to reshape his company. He looks for talent who dares to make decisions about a broad picture of the company and seeks it among the ex-staff officers of the Japanese Imperial Army. After two years of looking for a job, Iki starts working, without qualifications.
