Police officer Norman Craig assumes the identity of a bank robber, Red Murray, killed by the police. Norman can infiltrate the prison that way. He hopes to find three other bank robbers that the police are looking for. The undercover operation goes well until Craig's partner is found dead in his cell. He appears to have been shot in the head.
