Young American Gregory Fitzgerald is nearing completion of his priestly training in Paris when he meets nightclub singer Monica Johnson. Monica is in trouble and Gregory wants to help her, and falls in love with her. He thus comes into conflict with his conscience, and he also finds out that his beloved Monica is a murderess.
