Aqérat plot
Hui Ling's life won't really begin until she arrives in Taiwan. At least she thinks so. At the moment she is on the Thai-Malaysian border, doing some odd jobs and saving money. Determined to make it even if she loses all her savings, she accepts her boss's offer to make money as a human trafficker. As she descends into the darkness of her sordid trade, she witnesses the atrocities being perpetrated against the Rohingya immigrants. Her beacon of light is Wei, a young hospital worker who believes she is a woman from his past.
