Alibi plot
"A Woman's Conscience - the only flaw in this perfect crime!"
France, 1931. Professor Winkler gives performances with false mysticism with which he draws full houses in Paris. However, Winkler is confronted by a man who had previously exposed him as an impostor in the United States and he kills this man. Winkler then arranges an alibi by paying Helene Ardouin, a nightclub hostess, to tell the police she was with him at the time of the murder. As a result, she is charged with the crime.
