"Thieves and Killers are my Clients!"
Former cop Vince Kane is a bond broker with his partner Joe Farley. When one of his clients, the theft suspect Claude Brackett, is mysteriously murdered, Kane wants to know why. In addition, Kane is still in love with Brackett's widow Lucy, his former girlfriend. Kane has to deal with criminal nightclub owner Jerry McKay and his accomplice Roy Collins. Business partner Farley wants Kane to stop his investigation because of this.
