"GIRLS...it's the quiet ones who fool you!"
Out of false modesty, idealistic lawyer Maxwell Webster vegetates with his wife Julie and children in Montana for nearly a decade before starting a new life in California. While Webster lives in poverty while studying for the bar operator exam in California, he tries various ways to earn money, but with little return. Gradually, Webster accidentally gets involved with a gang of gamblers.
