Walk the Talk plot
The film is about ordinary people who have (too) big ambitions, blinded by the idea that if you want something, you will get it. It's a brave attack on the positive thinking mafia. After all, some dreams are better forgotten quickly. Young entertainment manager-to-be Joe Grasso (Salvatore Coco) thinks he's a good listener, but when the news deviates from what he wants, he doesn't hear anything. His motto - follow that dream - is derived from the philosophies of various self-help gurus, which he adheres to with a dedication bordering on fanaticism. For example, he is determined to get the languishing career of the expired nightclub singer Nikki Raye (Nikki Bennett) back on track. With the insurance money of his disabled girlfriend Bonita (Sacha Horler) he sets up an agency, with the singer as the only client. Not hindered by any expertise, he does everything he can to achieve his goal.
