Wake Me When It's Over plot
Captain Charlie Stark (Ernie Kovacs) comes from an old line of soldiers and officers. He and his men are stationed on a deserted Japanese island. Gus Brubaker (Dick Shawn) is accidentally transferred to the same island. Gus knows how to make himself useful. He starts building a hotel and has it run by native girls. When the military staff learns that the men on the island are just having fun, Gus is court-martialed. Captain Stark wants to help him, but that's easier said than done.
