Up Jumped the Devil plot
"ALL COLORED STAR CAST"
Two ne'er-do-wells, Washington and Jefferson, are fresh out of prison and looking for a job so they don't get arrested for vagrancy. They discover that the wealthy Mrs. Brown is looking for a butler and a maid, and Jefferson convinces Washington to dress up as a woman so they can get both jobs. They get the jobs, but soon encounter Bad News Johnson, a crook they met in prison. They discover that Johnson is planning to scam Mrs. Brown and he wants them to join him. The necessary complications arise.
