Tuintje in Mijn Hart plot
Axel is a Surinamese who has lived in the Netherlands for 20 years and has been completely Dutch. He is married to a Dutch woman and has not returned to his native country in all that time. When his mother calls the family together for Christmas because she has something important to tell her, he reluctantly returns to Suriname with his wife, her sister. Right after Christmas dinner, the situation explodes when his brother Virgil tells him something that makes all the stops blow for Axel. What follows is a rollercoaster of adventures under the Surinamese sun and Axel's wife suddenly realizes again why she fell in love with a Surinamese…
