Troubles of a Bride plot

Gordon 'The Baron' Blake, a clever con man, escapes from the police and discovers that Colonel Patterson is planning to remodel his house to surprise his daughter Mildred, who is about to marry Robert Wallace. Posing as the architect, he gains access and finds the money that is supposedly hidden in the house, but decides to marry Mildred as well. He plots with her to kidnap her just before the wedding to test Robert's love.
