Tonde Saitama plot
The inhabitants of Tokyo generally have little to do with the inhabitants of the neighboring municipality of Saitama, and that is completely mutual. People from Tokyo see Saitamese as clumsy farmers, while the Saitamese in turn see Tokyo as elitist snobs. In this modern fairy tale, the class struggle between city dwellers and provincials is parodied, with absurd slapstick. The plot moves from one place to another and provides detailed commentary on relationships in Japanese culture.
