Arie struggles with writer's block and thinks he has found his muse in the beautiful tram driver Sonja. When her line is lifted, he tries all kinds of ways to get in touch with her. He follows her, waits for her in front of shops where he's seen her, breaks into the transport company's staff party and rides all the tram lines. When he discovers that there is another man in his Sonja's life, he doesn't let his dream of living with her be ruined by this 'Fat with his magic violin!' While his fantasies about Sonja become more and more beautiful, Arie is getting worse.
