"Racing right into your heart"
Cricket West (Judy Garland) is an aspiring actress who hopes to break through with her beautiful voice. Together with her eccentric aunt, she hosts the riders of the local races. The leader of the jockeys is the talented but cocky Timmie Donovan (Mickey Rooney). When a young Englishman arrives and persuades Timmie to ride his competition horse, Timmie is disqualified by circumstances and Cricket must spring into action to help him out.
