The Timid Terror plot

Talbot Trent and Howard Cramm, office workers, are both fond of Dorothy Marvin, the company director's secretary. But Trent, a shy, unassuming type, feels inferior because he does not own a roadster. Like Cramm, Trent wants to become a successful manager from out of town, but when he approaches President Amos Milliken, he is curtly told that he is not energetic enough for the job. A friend of Trent's, who knows he wants a car, gives him a taxi, but Dorothy is dissatisfied with the use of the taxi as a private car.
