The Squeeze plot
"Win or Lose, You're Dead."
Augie Baccus is an ordinary man with unusual athletic abilities. He is good at track and field, American football, basketball and golf. When he breaks his own record with 15 strokes and wins the City Golf Championship, Confederate gambler Riverboat and his wife Jessie approach him to get him to participate in competitions that offer huge betting and winnings.
