The Ruling Passion plot

James Alden, a millionaire on the verge of exhaustion, is ordered by his doctor to withdraw and rest. Rest, however, drives Alden mad with boredom, so he decides to open a garage incognito and work as a simple mechanic on the motorcycles that had always given him so much joy, but for which, as a businessman, he never had time. After a while, even after a tough battle with a rival garage, his "rest" proves to be very beneficial to his health.
