The Poor Simp plot

Melville Carruthers finally decides to propose to his girlfriend Grace and heads for her house, but has a sudden attack of shyness and stops at a café to calm himself down. A fight breaks out and Melville is knocked out. He wakes up the next day in his room with a young "cabaret girl" taking care of him. Just then, Grace and her father pass by, and Melville is unable to explain who the girl is and why she is there, which triggers the necessary consequences.
