The Pigeon That Took Rome plot
"He is a military-type pigeon, now a sitting duck."
Paul MacDougall is an American soldier who operates behind the front lines in Italy during World War II. Under the pseudonym Benny the Snatch, he maps all the movements of the Germans and sends this data to the Allies by means of carrier pigeons. He starts to feel more and more for the daughter of the family where he lives. But then Paul suddenly has a big problem when his host accidentally serves his carrier pigeons for Easter dinner.
