The Perfect Clue plot

Mona Stewart, silly, spoiled daughter of a wealthy man, is upset when she learns her father is engaged to a woman she hates. She runs away, via various modes of transportation, and hires an ex-con, David Mannering, to drive her around while evading the all-out search of her father and her fiancé, Ronnie van Zandt. A romance blossoms until her driver is arrested for the murder of a crime syndicate boss.
