"Best friends make the best mistakes"
After her umpteenth relationship setback, Abby starts crying with her gay best friend Robert. He takes her in so well that they spend the night in each other's arms. With all the consequences that entails, because after some time Abby turns out to be pregnant. Determined to keep the child, they arrange some kind of co-parenting, which turns out to be perfect. But the day Abby meets the loving Ben and comes to realize that there is more than just friendship, the problems begin.

A little successful and even lame romantic comedy and then I put it mildly and therefore another Madonna film flop.
The story is of course also asking for trouble: if a woman gets pregnant by your best friend while he is gay, it is possible but it is not credible and to build a film around it is really too much of a good thing, even for someone like I who appreciate Madonna for what she has accomplished in her life. It happens to Madonna who is a teacher in this film and it is easy to guess what happens next.
Quickly but again forget this film attempt of hers.

I didn't like the first part of the movie at all. I think Madonna is bad acting. In the beginning you only see them being a bit stupid with each other and those decent stereotypes are put down. Only from the moment that there is a fight for custody, there is finally a bit of depth and I think Everett's emotion comes across as sincere. But still it is all very mediocre.
