The Love Thrill plot

Joyce Bragdon is in love with Jack Sturdevant, but he doesn't even know she exists. To get closer to Sturdevant, Joyce poses as the widow of Jack's best friend, a popular novelist. Thanks to her masquerade, Joyce qualifies for a huge insurance settlement, which not only presents a moral dilemma but also brings her into close contact with the predatory villain J. Anthony Creelman. Things threaten to escalate.
