The Journey plot
When Bee returns to Malaysia for the first time in years, she introduces her fiancé Benji to her conservative father Chuan. Because of Benji's lack of knowledge about the complex Chinese traditions and customs, Chuan is against the proposed marriage. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the old man finally agrees, but only if the marriage is solemnized in the traditional Chinese way. One of the requirements is that Guan must personally invite all his childhood friends. He goes out with Benji.
