The Hater plot
Dorothy, a liberal environmentalist working on a US Senate campaign, loses her job after a protest gone wrong. She returns to her conservative Texas hometown, where she learns that the Republican bully from her youth is running for president. Only Republicans can win in this city, so of course there's nothing for it but to go undercover and take on him as a Republican. It is completely constitutional. Unable to hide her feelings during the campaign, even if she plays a part, Dorothy discovers that good versus evil isn't necessarily as simple as left versus right.
