The Gold Diggers plot

Wally Saunders wants to marry chorus girl Violet Dayne, but his uncle, Stephen Lee, thinks all chorus girls are fortune-seekers and refuses to give his approval. Violet's girlfriend, Jerry La Mar, is no fortune-seeker, but she agrees to pursue Lee so aggressively that Violet will look tame by comparison. Lee and Jerry soon fall in love and marry, even after he learns the truth about her, and he gives Wally and Violet permission to marry as well.
