Billy Grant, a wealthy young Casanova, crashes his car while drunk and seems on the verge of death. Fearing that his greedy and unpleasant relatives will get his estate, he convinces his nurse, Jane Brown, to marry him. As Billy's health slowly recovers, Jane finds herself in a situation she could never have imagined or foreseen.
