The Blue Umbrella plot
In the Indian village of Himachal Pradesh, the girl Binya trades her hogweed necklace for a blue umbrella. The village is poor and the 'richest' man owns an old shop that looks more like a ruin. The man wants the umbrella and hires a boy to steal the umbrella. One day the girl has lost her umbrella... Shortly afterwards the owner of the shop has an umbrella that is remarkably similar to the girl's, only it is red. However, the villagers soon discover that it is the stolen umbrella.
