"He just wants to have a cookout"

It's July 4 in Los Angeles and Jamie, an unfortunate illustrator with a rent arrears, tries to throw a party while his roommate Derek is out of town. When Jamie decides - without asking - to borrow Derek's bike for a short trip to the liquor store for booze, his day and his whole life slowly go up in smoke. After an incident with an aggressive road user, Jamie is further from home and finds himself in a series of awkward, absurd and frustrating situations involving different types.
