Street Trash has a very thin story that basically consists of: When you drink this cheap drink you completely melt away, but at least you die a colorful death. This of course guarantees great fun and that is what it is.

The setting, a highly polluted New York where it seems as if 90% are prostitutes, vagabonds or mentally disturbed, contributes to a nice atmosphere. The characters also look anything but fresh. Completely equipped with an unkempt head, rotten teeth, dirty clothes and filthy skin, they fit perfectly with the street scene of polluted New York.

The kills are simply genius and full of (paint) gore. One beautiful melt scene after another passes by with wonderful over the top effects that are still beautiful to see to this day.

A somewhat tame middle section that is often filled with very lame humor is fortunately ended by a wonderful last half hour where everything goes completely wild and nothing of anyone is left intact.

4*. Street Trash is and remains a great work that exudes filth through the setting and the characters and at the same time provides a lot of fun through the bizarre effects.

Great Offensive Dark-Comedy/Crime/Body-Horror Melt Movie!

From the start you will encounter interesting and funny characters. The film is mainly very enjoyable because of the dialogues, which are very well written. I always enjoy typical 80's humor anyway.

The locations where the film takes place are worth gold and very good body horror with various events/stories throughout the film, with the common thread being the "Viper" drink that provides a lot of nasty Melt-Horror!

Fooling around with a freshly cut penis is always fun!

Intentionally throwing up on the person you're fighting...+1

A horror comedy with a few decent gore melt scenes, but that's about it. The story about the Viper drink, where the location simply takes place on the street and especially where the homeless are the main characters, was not really interesting. The approach may be nice, but the execution is just not good. The humor is also not really appealing, for example playing with the cut off penis. 4/10
