SoulBoy plot
It's 1974. Amid power cuts, strikes and aggression in football stadiums, 17-year-old Joe McCain has had enough of his life leading nowhere. The beautiful blond hairdresser Jane, on the other hand, is enjoying her life. She can be found in the dancing 'The Wigan Casino', home to the 'northern soul', a whole new world of sound, movement and dance. Joe discovers this world and is confused by the dark side of the scene. He has to choose between friendship, his heart and the soul.
