"A Cagney you have never seen!"
New York music band leader Terrence "Terry" Rooney (James Cagney) is offered a contract in Hollywood. However, the studio has put a clause in the contract that prevents him from getting married. That's why he secretly marries Rita Wyatt (Evelyn Daw), a singer. However, when this becomes known, the dolls are dancing.
