The wealthy Edward Collins realizes that his fiancée Alice is only after his money and goes in search of another woman. He falls in love with the beautiful Ninette, but learns that she doesn't like rich idlers and pretends to be a poor slob. That is the beginning of a strenuous double life, which eventually yields Edward the love of Ninette.
