"HE WAS KING OF SWAT-and oh boy, what a hit he made with the ladies!"
Jim Kelly is a self-proclaimed baseball star. He even manages to get hired by the New York Yankees. Despite his boundless boasting, Jim does indeed show his talent on the ballpark. But Kelly soon becomes estranged from the rest of his teammates who can't stand his arrogant behavior. Tom Munson, an accomplished Yankee catcher and father of Kelly's girlfriend Mary, tries to teach Jim his place, but Kelly isn't interested. Angry at feeling the team isn't on his side, Kelly gets drunk on the eve of an important game in Chicago.
