"Every story has a middle"

Five years after "The Slashening," 22-year-old Madison Santangeli moves to Brooklyn to start a new life after her father's suicide. The timid woman tries to come out of her shell. They are asked to join a support group for like-minded people in the local community. She makes friends with the other people around her, but when a strange killer starts killing people from the group, she must discover the strange bond between them and make it out alive.
