Slapsie Maxie's plot

Due to his easy footwork and skillful handling of trays as a waiter, Johnny, a waiter, catches the attention of nightclub owner Maxie Rosenbloom. That same night, boxing champion Tiger Dorsey makes quick work of his opponent in the ring and then stays at Slapsie Maxie's club. Shortly after entering, he is knocked out by Johnny, the waiter, who has carelessly swung a tray straight at Tiger's chin. Onlookers believe the knockout was the result of a legitimate punch, and Johnny is forced into a fight with the champion.
