Shanghai Chest plot

"THE MYSTERY OF THE ALPHABET MURDER CASE!"

Vic arrives at the home of his uncle, Judge Armstrong, just in time to answer the phone. He does not know that his uncle has been murdered and that the perpetrator is in the room with him. Phylis Powers is the lady on the other end of the line. She recognizes Vic's voice on the phone, but at that moment the judge's nephew is knocked unconscious by the killer. When he wakes up, he discovers his uncle's body. He tries to pull the knife out of the judge's back. This leaves his fingerprints on the knife.
